The overt evil wasn’t defeated in WW1 and WW2, it just moved on to … here, in covert ways.
Interesting how the atrocities committed by the Japanese in china and other lands are memory holed, with Germany becoming the icon of evil, when in fact evil was spread across the globe.
One could ask themselves, is marching young men onto a beach facing 50 caliber machine gun fire heroic or evil? Or does evil doing demand evil responses.
